monobank White card: credit card and grace period
What the monobank White card is, how to get it, how the grace period and pay-in-parts work, and how to use it without overpaying.
The White card is monobank's credit card with a credit limit for everyday purchases and a grace period when no interest is charged. Paired with the Black (debit) card, it gives access to borrowed funds, and the signature "pay in parts" lets you split large purchases. Let's look at how to get it and use it without overpaying.
What the White card is
The White card is a separate credit card with a credit limit set by the bank. Money spent within the limit must be repaid; if you make it within the grace period — with no interest. Managing the card, like everything in monobank, is entirely in the app.
How to get the White card
- Open the monobank app → cards section.
- Choose "White card" and apply — the bank assesses a credit limit.
- Accept the terms; after approval the limit becomes available.
- Use the card for purchases, repaying within the grace period.
Grace period
The grace period is the time when the bank charges no interest for using the credit limit, provided you repay what you spent on time. At monobank it can reach up to 62 days on purchases. The key rule: repay the debt before the grace period ends — then the credit is effectively free.
Minimum payment
Each month you must pay at least the required minimum payment (part of the debt + interest). It keeps the card in good standing but doesn't free you from interest on the balance. To avoid overpaying, repay the full used amount within the grace period, not just the minimum. The date and amount are shown in the app.
Pay in parts and instalments
monobank's signature feature is pay in parts: a large purchase can be split into several monthly payments right in the app. Some instalments are interest-free (funded by partner shops), others carry a charge — the terms are shown before you confirm. It's a handy way to spread a cost over time.
How to use it without overpaying
- repay what you spent before the grace period ends;
- don't withdraw credit funds as cash — the grace period usually doesn't apply to withdrawals;
- watch the payment date in the app to avoid being late;
- for large purchases use pay in parts with transparent terms.
FAQ
How does the White card differ from the Black one?
Black is debit (your own money + cashback), White is credit (borrowed funds with a limit and grace period). Many people use both.
Does the grace period apply to cash withdrawals?
Usually no — grace covers purchases, while withdrawing credit funds as cash often incurs interest and a fee right away.
What happens if I'm late?
The bank charges interest on the balance at the contract rate, a penalty is possible, and the late payment goes into your credit history. So pay on time.
Is there cashback on the White card?
Check the cashback terms in the app — they may differ from the Black card.
Limits, rates and grace-period length may change — check current terms in the monobank app.
