Official NBU exchange rate today
Here you will find the up-to-date official rates of the National Bank of Ukraine — US dollar (USD), euro (EUR), zloty (PLN), pound (GBP) and other currencies. The NBU rate is the baseline reference for the whole economy: banks, accounting and customs all rely on it.
What the official NBU rate is
The official rate is set by the National Bank of Ukraine based on interbank market trading. It is used for accounting, customs and tax calculations and as a reference for the public. It is not the price you pay at a cash desk, but commercial rates are derived from it.
Why bank and exchanger rates differ
Banks and exchangers add their own margin (spread) to the official rate — the gap between buy and sell on which they earn. That is why the cash rate for the dollar or euro is always slightly different from the NBU rate. To buy or sell currency most profitably, compare bank rates in the «Compare rates» section.
