Tether, which issues the world's largest stablecoin USDT, has released its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. In three months, the company received about $1.5 billion in net operating profit. The main source of income was not cryptocurrency transactions, but investments in US Treasury bonds and repo agreements. At the same time, Tether reported a record volume of issued tokens, growth in the number of users and maintaining excess reserves that exceed the amount of liabilities to USDT holders.
