Transfers at OTP Bank: methods, limits and fees

5 min read

How to send money at OTP Bank — by card number, by details, in the mobile app or at a branch, with limits and fees.

You can send money at OTP Bank in several ways: in the mobile app by card number or details, and also at a branch. Let's look at each method, the limits, fees and what to do if a transfer is delayed.

Transfer methods

  • by card number (card-to-card) — to a card of any Ukrainian bank;
  • by details / IBAN — to a bank account (services, sole traders, legal entities);
  • in the mobile app — quickly, with saved templates;
  • at a branch — with a passport.

How to make a transfer in the app

  1. Open the OTP Bank app and choose the card you're sending from.
  2. Tap "Transfer" and choose the method (by card or details).
  3. Enter the recipient's data and the amount.
  4. Check the data and confirm.

Limits and fees

Transfers are subject to limits (daily/monthly) and a possible fee depending on the type and amount. Some transfers within limits are free; a percentage may apply to others. Check current limits and tariffs in the app before a large transfer.

If the transfer doesn't arrive

  • check the transaction status in the app;
  • make sure the card number or details are entered correctly;
  • transfers by details (IBAN) may credit within the business day;
  • if money was debited but the recipient didn't get it — contact bank support.

FAQ

Is the transfer instant?

Transfers by card number are usually instant. By details (IBAN) they may take until the end of the business day.

Is there a fee for a transfer?

Within limits many transfers are free; above the limit or for certain types a fee may apply. See the summary before confirming.

Can I transfer at a branch?

Yes, with a passport — convenient for clients who don't use the app.

What if I made a mistake in the details?

If the transfer was already made, the return is up to the recipient — contact support. So check the data before confirming.

Limits, fees and transfer methods may change — check current terms in the OTP Bank app or at a branch.
