The new service will solve the problem of thousands of Ukrainians
In Ukraine, beta testing of the remote dismissal service through the application has started "Action". The new service was implemented within the digital ecosystem of the labor market "Horizon", which was created by the Ministry of Economy and Environment for the digitization of labor services.
The initiative is aimed at citizens who remain formally employed at enterprises located in temporarily occupied territories or in the zone of active hostilities.
Why was there a need for such a service
Because of the war, thousands of Ukrainians lost the opportunity to maintain contact with their employers, but legally their employment contracts remain valid. This does not allow people to officially find employment in another place, apply for unemployment status, receive state assistance or use professional retraining programs.
According to the State Employment Service, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion 11,714 Ukrainians applied for the termination of such employment relations.
How remote dismissal will work
The procedure will take place entirely online and will not require any action on the part of the employer.
It is enough for the user to submit an application through the application "Action" and confirm it with "Signature action". After that, the system will automatically check whether the employer is in the temporarily occupied territory according to the official list.
If the conditions meet the requirements, the service will independently record the date of termination of the employment relationship, notify the employer and make the necessary changes to the state registers. The exemption will take effect the next day after the application is submitted.
Beta testing will last two weeks
At the first stage, they take part in testing 658 Ukrainians, who previously registered to test the new service. After the completion of testing and verification of system operation, the service will be available to all users of the application "Action".
The Ministry of Economy notes that until the end 2026 year plan to provide the possibility of remote dismissal for 75% of citizensthat need it.
Obryi will become the only digital platform of the labor market
The new service is part of the digital ecosystem "Horizon", which combines services for job search, recruitment, registration of labor relations and obtaining career services online.
The department emphasizes that digitalization of the labor market should simplify the interaction between employees, employers and the state, as well as help Ukrainians to return to official employment faster, even in difficult wartime conditions.
