The demand for AI specialists continues to grow
Ukrainian employers are increasingly actively investing in the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, which directly affects the labor market. According to the data Work.ua, the number of vacancies for specialists in the field of AI increased by 63%, which indicates the rapid spread of artificial intelligence tools in business.
Today, companies are looking for not only classic AI developers, but also specialists in machine learning, business process automation, creation of intelligent chatbots, generative AI, and integration of modern language models into corporate services.
Salaries have almost doubled for the year
Along with the demand, the level of wages also increased significantly. As of July 2026, the average salary of an AI specialist in Ukraine is 45 thousand UAH, while a year ago this indicator was equal to 24.5 thousand UAH.
At the same time, the median salary expectation of candidates who are actively looking for a job is 40 thousand UAH. This means that employers are often willing to offer even higher wages to attract qualified specialists.
Income level depends on experience
Salary in the field of artificial intelligence varies significantly depending on the professional level of the candidate.
Beginners and Junior professionals can count on a salary from 20 thousand UAH. At the same time, experienced Senior developers, architects of AI solutions and specialists working with large-scale corporate projects receive up to 132 thousand UAH per month
It is the lack of highly qualified personnel that encourages employers to review the level of compensation and compete for experienced specialists.
Analysts note that in the field of artificial intelligence, the level of wages practically does not depend on the format of work. AI specialists can work both in the office and remotely, receiving approximately the same level of income.
This trend is explained by the global nature of the profession, because most tasks are performed online, and employers increasingly value not the location of the employee, but his competencies and practical experience.
AI is becoming one of the drivers of the Ukrainian labor market
The active implementation of artificial intelligence in various spheres of the economy creates a new demand for high-tech professions. Business automates processes, integrates AI solutions into the work of companies and expands the use of modern digital tools.
Against this background, professions related to artificial intelligence remain among the most promising on the Ukrainian labor market. It is expected that as the number of AI projects increases, the competition for qualified specialists will only intensify, and the level of wages will continue to rise.
