Despite the popularity of banks, Ukrposhta continues to play an important social role.
Pensions are mainly received through the postal operator by residents of settlements where the banking infrastructure is limited or absent. For many elderly people in remote areas, delivery of pensions by postmen remains the most affordable and convenient way to receive benefits.
