Gasoline has become cheaper in Ukraine: how much does fuel cost at gas stations on August 17

How average prices have changed

Compared to the previous working day, Friday, August 14, most of the main types of fuel became cheaper.

As of August 17, the average prices are:

  • A-95 premium — 83.77 UAH/l, a decrease of 22 kopecks;

  • A-95 — UAH 80.29/l, a decrease of 34 kopecks;

  • A-92 — UAH 77.05/l, decrease by 1 cop.;

  • diesel fuel — UAH 92.19/l, a decrease of 29 kopecks;

  • autogas — UAH 43.69/l, unchanged.

Thus, the average price of standard gasoline A-95 decreased the most over the weekend.

How much does fuel cost in large networks

Gas station prices vary depending on the network. In particular, "Ukrnafta" sells A-95 gasoline at UAH 78.90/l, diesel at UAH 89.90, and autogas at UAH 42.90.

In "Cargo 7" A-95 costs UAH 76.95/l, diesel — UAH 90.95, autogas — UAH 40.45.

In networks ok and WOG A-95 gasoline is sold at UAH 82.90/l, diesel fuel - UAH 93.90 each. Autogas costs UAH 43.90 at OKKO and UAH 44.50 at WOG.

At the gas station BRSM-Nafta the price of A-95 is UAH 78.04/l, diesel — UAH 89.92, autogas — UAH 41.42.

In the network BVS A-95 gasoline costs UAH 82.90/l, diesel — UAH 94.90, and autogas — UAH 42.90.

Fuel is cheaper for the third working day in a row

A decrease in the price of gasoline has been observed for several days in a row. On August 14, A-95 cost an average of UAH 80.63/l, and on August 13 — UAH 80.72.

So, only during the period from August 13 to 17, the average price of A-95 decreased by 43 kopecks per liter.

At the same time, current prices remain significantly higher than the level at the beginning of the year, and further dynamics will depend on the cost of petroleum products on foreign markets, the hryvnia exchange rate, and import volumes.

Imports remain an important factor

The Ukrainian fuel market is largely dependent on imported supplies. In particular, for the first half of 2026, the import of high-octane A-98/100 gasoline amounted to almost 20 thousand tons, which is 12% more than in the same period last year.

Previously, market participants predicted a further increase in the price of gasoline. At the end of July, it was expected that the price of A-95 could exceed UAH 90/l and further rise to UAH 93–95.

The current decline so far indicates a temporary easing of price pressure, but it is still too early to talk about a sustainable reversal of the trend.
