"Ukrposhta" has become a verified partner of Etsy

At the end of June, Ukrposhta announced a partnership with one of the world's largest marketplaces for handmade products and creative businesses — Etsy. The company successfully passed the verification of the platform and received the status of an official verified partner in Ukraine.

During the audit, Etsy evaluated the IT infrastructure, the level of cyber security, the automation of data exchange, as well as the processes for processing international shipments and customs declarations.

Ukraine is among the leaders of Etsy

According to the analytical platform Koalanda, about 34,400 Ukrainian sellers work on Etsy today. According to this indicator, Ukraine ranks 12th in the world.

In addition, Ukrainian entrepreneurs offer almost 2.2 million products, which allows the country to take eighth place among all countries in terms of the number of products presented on the platform.

The integration automates the registration of international shipments

After the launch of full integration, sellers will only need to link their Etsy shop to the personal account of Ukrposhta and grant permission to exchange data.

After that, information about new orders will automatically be sent to the postal operator's system. The service will independently create transport documents, fill out customs declarations, calculate the cost of delivery and generate a tracking number. The seller will only have to check the information and confirm the shipment.

Less manual work for entrepreneurs

Today, most Ukrainian sellers are forced to manually transfer information between Etsy and delivery services, which takes additional time and increases the risk of errors.

The new integration will significantly reduce the number of manual operations, automate the transfer of addresses, contact data, product description, weight, cost and customs information, which will make the shipping process faster and more convenient.

The partnership opens up new advantages for sellers

Ukrposhta notes that the status of a verified partner can increase buyers' trust in Ukrainian stores. In particular, Etsy may designate sellers who use the services of an official logistics partner.

Also, Ukrainian entrepreneurs will have more opportunities to participate in Etsy's buyer protection program, which provides compensation for the cost of goods up to $250 in case of lost or damaged shipments under certain conditions.

In addition, Ukrposhta plans to offer special promotions and reduced tariffs for international delivery. There is already a loyalty program with discounts from 3% to 20% depending on the volume of shipments.

New customs regulations are also taken into account

One of the key advantages of the integration will be the automatic calculation of customs payments for certain countries, in particular the states of the European Union and the USA.

This is especially relevant after the entry into force of the new EU customs rules on international parcels and the abolition of the US duty-free regime for shipments worth up to $800. Automation will help sellers avoid mistakes when placing international orders.

A full launch is expected in July

Ukrposhta reported that the new service is currently undergoing final testing, and the full launch of the integration is planned for July. The company expects an increase in the number of international shipments and assures that it is ready for the additional load.

In addition, the postal operator is already negotiating with other international platforms to launch similar integrations. Among the most popular services among Ukrainian businesses, the company names eBay, Shopify and Amazon.
