Ukrainian business paid almost UAH 718 billion to the state budget in half a year: tax revenues increased by 11%

Tax revenues continue to grow

The State Tax Service reported that during January-June 2026, the general fund of the state budget received 717.7 billion UAH in taxes and fees.

Compared to the same period in 2025, revenues increased by UAH 70.6 billion, or by 10.9%.

Personal income tax and income tax contributed the most to the budget

The main sources of filling the state budget in the first half of the year were the personal income tax and the corporate income tax.

In particular, income from personal income tax amounted to UAH 204.9 billion, which is UAH 37.1 billion more than last year. Corporate income tax provided UAH 186.4 billion, showing an increase of UAH 30.7 billion.

The budget also received UAH 160 billion in value-added tax (including budget reimbursement), UAH 66.1 billion in excise tax on goods produced in Ukraine, and UAH 28.8 billion in rent payments.

June also showed positive dynamics

Only in June, UAH 133 billion of taxes and fees were transferred to the general fund of the state budget.

This result exceeded the indicator of the same month last year by UAH 6.5 billion, or by 5.1%, which indicates the preservation of a positive trend in revenues.

The DPS thanked the business for the stable payment of taxes

Acting head of the State Tax Service, Lesya Karnauch, emphasized that Ukrainian business continues to fulfill its tax obligations, despite the difficult conditions of wartime.

According to her, the war has a negative impact on the economy due to the destruction of enterprises, damage to the energy infrastructure and changes in logistics routes. At the same time, the responsibility of taxpayers and the stable work of the tax service make it possible to ensure the financial stability of the state.

The processing industry remains one of the key payers

It was previously reported that in January-May 2026, processing industry enterprises generated 17.9% of all tax revenues to the consolidated budget of Ukraine. The industry remains the largest source of revenue and plays an important role in supporting public finances during full-scale war.
