How does "Marichka" work
The system works according to the principle of modern AI platforms: it centrally collects and analyzes large amounts of information, calculates the balance of forces, models possible scenarios of the development of events and offers options for actions. At the same time the final decision always rests with the commander, and artificial intelligence acts as a decision support tool.
What capabilities does the system have?
"Marichka" is capable automatically collect, process and verify information, analyze the forces and means of the parties, forecast the need for resources and possible losses, as well as simulate the combat situation on an interactive map. In addition, the system will promptly report on changes in the situation, which will allow a faster response to events on the battlefield.
Testing is ongoing
According to the developers, during the tests, the system has already successfully completed the assigned tasks on the test data. The next stage involves further training of the neural network, strengthening of protection of information channels and integration of documents with vultures "Restricted" and "Secretly". Technical characteristics of the complex are not disclosed for security reasons.
AI is becoming part of the modern battlefield
The Armed Forces note that elements of artificial intelligence are already used in drones, radars and weapons control systems. The implementation of "Marichka" should combine these capabilities into a single command support system that will allow significantly speed up information processing, operations planning and troop management at the level of brigades, corps and troop groups.
