EVA has lost another large object

According to Shostak, during the full-scale war, a group of his companies had already lost five large warehouses and 15 stores.

The destroyed distribution center in Brovary became the seventh lost object companies

In advance, the total damage from the last blow is estimated up to UAH 1 billion. It is not only about the building itself, but also about the inventory, equipment, machinery and other infrastructure necessary for the operation of the logistics system.

Why a fire increases the scale of damage

Shostak drew attention to the problem that arises after strikes on industrial and warehouse facilities.

According to him, some of the buildings are not destroyed directly at the moment of impact. After an attack may occur local ignition, which could potentially be quickly eliminated.

However, during an air alert, rescuers cannot fully work on the territory of the facility due to the threat of a second strike.

As a result, the fire continues to spread for hours and destroy property that might have remained intact after the hit itself.

The business offers to use robots and drones

The representative of the company emphasizes that prohibiting rescuers from risking their lives during an air alert is correct.

At the same time, in his opinion, the state should create a technological alternative that will allow fighting fires without direct risk to people.

It is, in particular, about robotic fire extinguishing systems and specialized drones, which could work in the territories of warehouse complexes during the threat of repeated attacks.

According to Shostak, this approach could potentially be avoided up to half of infrastructure losses, which occur already after the initial impact due to the spread of fire.

How big is the EVA network

"Rush" LLC has been operating since 2002 and manages a chain of stores EVA, which specializes in beauty, care and everyday products.

The company has more than 1,000 stores across Ukraine, and also develops an online store EVA.UA.

For such a large-scale network, distribution centers are a critically important part of the operating system: it is through them that goods flow to stores in different regions.

Therefore, the loss of a large warehouse means not only direct material losses, but also a necessity reorganize logistics, move stocks and look for alternative warehouse space.

The Ukrainian warehouse sector is experiencing increasing losses

The destruction of the EVA warehouse took place against the background of large-scale attacks on the Ukrainian logistics infrastructure.

According to the data given earlier, in the first half of 2026 alone, more than 300,000 square meters were destroyed in Ukraine. m of warehouse space.

The increase in attacks on logistics facilities in recent months has led to a sharp increase in losses in this segment.

In terms of the scale of destruction, 2026 is already approaching one of the worst periods for warehouse real estate — in 2022. At that time only in the Kyiv region was destroyed about 400 thousand square meters m of professional warehouse space.

Strikes on warehouses affect not only the owners

Damage to large distribution centers creates problems for a much wider range of companies.

When a large warehouse breaks down, the supply of stores is disrupted, there is a need to urgently find new premises, transport costs increase and the risk of temporary shortages of certain goods increases.

They are especially vulnerable food retail, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, electronics and other segments that depend on centralized logistics.

In addition, after the destruction of the warehouses, there is a problem of preserving the property that survived the strikes. Cases were previously reported mass looting of damaged industrial and logistics facilities.

Thus, a blow to the composition of EVA is not only up to UAH 1 billion in direct losses for an individual company, but also another example of how attacks on logistics create additional costs for the entire Ukrainian business.
