A button will also appear in the free interface "Think". It will allow you to activate the mode of deeper analysis when the request requires more complex reasoning.
At the same time, there will be no complete abolition of restrictions. Limits on using individual tools, uploading files, and working with images for free accounts will remain.

For subscribers of paid tariffs, OpenAI has updated the model GPT-5.6 Sol.
One of the main new functions is a special slider, with the help of which the user can independently determine how much time the system will spend thinking about the answer.
For simple tasks, you can choose a faster mode, and for complex queries, you can increase the analysis time.
According to OpenAI, the new version is also more accurate and less likely to make factual errors. When testing legal, medical and financial queries, the number of factual errors was at 68% lower, than in the previous GPT-5.5 Instant.
Strengthening the protection of minors
OpenAI paid special attention to users under the age of 18.
The system has received additional restrictions for requests related to romantic role-playing scenarios, simulation of real-life relationships and age-restricted content.
Also increased moderation of requests for violence, eating disorders and dangerous activities.
