Fuel prices are rising in Ukraine: how much do gasoline, diesel and autogas cost at gas stations

The average cost of fuel has increased again

As of July 27 average price of brand gasoline A-95 in Ukraine is UAH 80.91 per literthat on 83 kopecks more than at the end of last week. Diesel fuel rose in price the most - its average cost rose by almost 3 hryvnias and reached UAH 88.18 per liter.

The growth also affected A-95 Premium gasoline, A-92 gasoline, and automobile gas.

What are the average fuel prices?

According to market monitoring data, the average prices at Ukrainian gas stations are:

• A-95 Premium – UAH 84.18/l (+45 kopecks);

• A-95 – UAH 80.91/l (+83 kopecks);

• A-92 – UAH 77.64/l (+43 kopecks);

• diesel – UAH 88.18/l (+ UAH 2.95);

• autogas – UAH 41.53/l (+26 kopecks).

Where is the cheapest place to refuel today?

The cost of fuel varies significantly depending on the gas station network.

They offer the lowest prices for A-95 gasoline BRSM-Nafta – UAH 78.31/l, Ukrnafta – UAH 79.90/l and Load 7 – UAH 79.95/l.

Fuel is more expensive in premium networks. At the gas station okko A-95 gasoline is sold at UAH 82.90/l, and on WOG - by UAH 83.50/l. Diesel fuel in these networks costs close to UAH 89.5–89.9 per liter.

Why is fuel more expensive?

The main factor of the price increase remains the situation on the world oil market. The aggravation of the geopolitical situation in the Middle East led to a sharp rise in oil prices, which exceeded 100 dollars per barrel.

Additional pressure is created by disruptions in logistics due to the complications of navigation in the area of ​​the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the key routes for the transportation of oil and oil products.

The European market is also in short supply

Ще однією причиною подорожчання експерти називають скорочення доступних запасів пального в Європі. На ситуацію вплинуло зростання попиту з боку Росії, яка активно закуповує паливо та обмежила експорт дизеля.

Because of this, it is more difficult for European traders to find free volumes of fuel, and alternative supplies from other countries require more time and money.

Experts predict a new rise in prices

Market analysts do not rule out that the price of gasoline in Ukraine may increase even more in the coming weeks. According to some forecasts, the average cost of A-95 gasoline can exceed UAH 90 per liter, and at some gas stations the price can reach UAH 93–95 per liter, if global oil prices remain high and supply problems are not resolved.
