Ukreximbank will stop paying pensions and social assistance from October 1: what do recipients need to do

Who are affected by the changes?

The new rules are spreading only for recipients of pensions and social benefits, who receive funds through accounts in "Ukreximbank".

If payments are already received:

• - through another authorized bank;

• - through a postal operator or another delivery method,

no additional action is required.

What needs to be done before September 15

In order to continue to receive state payments without hindrance, it is necessary:

• - open an account in another bank that is authorized to make Pension Fund payments;

• - submit an application to the Pension Fund of Ukraine about changing the method of receiving a pension or social assistance;

• - enter details of the new account;

• - do it no later than September 15, 2026.

How to submit an application

Recipients can choose one of two methods:

• - online through the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine;

• - personally in any PFU service center.

After the application has been processed, the Pension Fund will update the bank details, and all subsequent pensions, subsidies, benefits and other government payments will be transferred to the new account.

Why you should not delay

The Pension Fund recommends do not wait for the last days before the deadline. If the details are not changed before the termination of cooperation with "Ukreximbank", after October 1, 2026 there may be delays in transferring pensions and other social benefits.

Timely opening of a new account and submission of an application will avoid any interruptions in receiving state assistance.
