What will change for users
The Ministry of Digital Transformation assures that the transition will take place gradually and will not create inconvenience for citizens and businesses.
In particular:
- current KEP will remain valid until the end of their term of validity;
- there is no need to urgently reissue electronic keys;
- all previously signed documents and contracts will retain legal force;
- electronic systems will check old documents according to the previous standard, and new ones - according to the algorithm "Tussock";
- from September 1 new KEP certificates will be issued only according to the new cryptographic standard.
What should a business do?
The Digital Ministry recommends that enterprises and software developers check in advance whether their information systems support the new algorithm. If necessary, you should contact technical support to ensure the smooth operation of electronic document management after the entry into force of the new rules.
