Design and symbolism of the coin
The first Sea Baby drones appeared in 2022. Due to the modular design, they can be equipped with various types of weapons and have already been used during attacks on Crimean bridge and ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
The obverse of the coin depicts a stylized trident, which turns into a silhouette of a sea drone in motion. It is placed on the reverse Sea Baby in the Black Sea, the logo of the Security Service of Ukraine and the inscription Sea Baby, where the letter Y made in the form of a gesture Victory.
Characteristics and start of sale
The coin has denomination 5 hryvnias, issued in circulation up to 75 thousand pieces and will be sold in souvenir packaging. He became the author of the artistic design Andriy Yermolenko, and the sculptor — Volodymyr Demyanenko. You can buy a commemorative coin from July 30 through the NBU numismatic products online store and distributor banks.
We will remind, the day before the National Bank also issued a commemorative coin "In memory of those executed, tortured or killed in captivity" nominal value 10 hryvnias, dedicated to honoring Ukrainian defenders, volunteers and civilians who died or became victims of Russian captivity.
