How much currency did the NBU sell?
In July, the National Bank sold $4.76 billion on the foreign exchange market, while it bought only $1.8 million.
At the same time, $1.64 billion was received in foreign currency accounts of Ukraine:

● $458.6 million — from placement of foreign currency bonds.
What Ukraine received from the EU
Separately, Ukraine received $5.1 billion from the European Union as part of the defense tranche under the Ukraine Support Loan program.
Because of the target designation, these funds are not immediately included in the international reserves. In July, the government converted $3.43 billion of this amount into hryvnias, which, in turn, increased the volume of reserves.
How much went into debt
In July, Ukraine allocated $515.4 million to servicing and repaying the state debt in foreign currency.
The country paid another $174.2 million to the IMF.
According to the NBU's assessment, the current volume of international reserves is sufficient to finance approximately 4.2 months of future imports.
Which was a month earlier
In June, Ukraine's international reserves, on the contrary, increased significantly - by 12.1%. As of July 1, they amounted to $51.3 billion.
Thus, according to the results of July, the reserves remained at approximately the same level, having decreased by only $0.1 billion.
