Which businesses were damaged
According to preliminary information, as a result of the Russian shelling, the following were injured:
- warehouses of the Novus supermarket chain;
- sorting center "New Poshta";
- distribution logistics complex Rozetka;
- Fozzy Group compositions, which provide stores "Silpo", "Allowance" and Thrash! Thrash!;
- production and logistics facilities of the company "Epicentr-K";
- Intertop logistics warehouses;
- Puma brand logistics center;
- the central warehouse of Liqui Moly Ukraine;
- "Brockbridge" transport company;
- "Plastmas" plant;
- logistics company Raben Ukraine;
- "Evrobeton" enterprise;
- warehouse of spare parts of the Toyota Ukraine company.
Businesses are currently assessing the damage, determining the extent of the damage and restoring operations where possible.
A blow to logistics and supply
The main blow fell precisely on logistics infrastructure, which provides the supply of goods to retail chains, online stores, manufacturing enterprises and transport companies.
Damage to warehouses and sorting centers can temporarily affect the speed of delivery of goods, the formation of stocks and the operation of individual networks. At the same time, most large companies have backup logistics routes, which allows to minimize the consequences for consumers.
What is known about the attack
У ніч на August 5 Russia launched a combined attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region using ballistic missiles and drones. Fires broke out in the capital, there were casualties, and ammonia leaks were also reported.
According to the Air Force of Ukraine, the enemy used 28 missiles and 115 attack drones, from which the air defense forces destroyed 98 drones.
In the Kyiv region, fires and destruction were recorded in several districts of the region at once, and August 6 has been declared a day of mourning for those who died as a result of the Russian attack.
Logistics infrastructure remains one of the main goals of the Russian Federation
Since the beginning of 2026, Russian strikes have already destroyed or damaged more than 300 thousand square meters of warehouse space. According to experts, this year's losses in the logistics sector may approach the level in 2022, when only in the Kyiv region was destroyed close to 400 thousand square meters of professional warehouses.
In addition to direct destruction, business also faces a problem looting. After attacks on warehouse complexes, cases of mass theft of surviving property are recorded, which further increases the financial losses of companies.
