Apple regained the leadership in terms of capitalization
According to the results of trading on July 27, the market capitalization of Apple has almost reached $5 trillion. The company's shares rose in price by 2%, which allowed it to once again lead the ranking of the most expensive public companies in the world.
At the same time, Nvidia lost about 5% of its value, due to which its capitalization decreased to $4.77 trillion, ceding Apple's leadership.
Why Nvidia lost ground
One of the main reasons was a wave of sales in the sector of manufacturers of equipment for artificial intelligence. Investors began to more cautiously assess the prospects for the development of the AI market, which affected the value of shares of companies that produce microcircuits and components for AI.
Against this background, Apple gained an advantage thanks to the more stable dynamics of its shares and restored the status of the most expensive company in the world.
Apple is preparing for new challenges
Despite the return to the first place, the company is already preparing for a possible price increase for future devices due to the increase in the cost of memory and other components. In addition, Apple continues to expand its collaboration with Intel in the field of chip manufacturing, which should strengthen its supply chains and support the development of semiconductor manufacturing in the United States.
